The Pursuit of Happiness

I just finished watching the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness" (2006). I'm sure you already know about this movie. It's based on the true story of Chris Gardner who became homeless only to become a successful stockbroker after many years of struggle by living his dream.

I must say it was very a heart warming movie. If you haven't seen the movie, maybe you should check it out because it will teach you something that we all need not to forget: Never give up on yourself nor your dream.

As many of you already know, the phrase that was used for this movie's title was from the United States Declaration of Independence written by Thomas Jefferson; "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". These phrase are your rights as United States Citizens. I always get the chills (in a good way) when I hear these words whether in books, movies or on tv.

Having said that, how many of us really think about the meaning of it? Do we really pursuit of our happiness and dreams? Do we really live our lives to its fullest? After seen this movie, I realized once again that life is not accident, that I have to make my life the way I've always hoped to be regardless of trials I may endure, and that never to give up hope and my dreams. And I hope I can teach my children the same message.

First, thanks again for readin' my blog, i feel happy people are liking it.
second, the persuit of happiness! lovely happy inspiring movie! but about your question, I think everyone tries to achive their dream however people do give up, for example how many single parents out there wish they could better their lives yet they can't because they have a houshold to support, eventually the dream becomes an illusion to the person and don't make it a top priority because life gets in its way tossing obstacles and you get tired of dodging them.
however as though as life gets i'll never give up my dreams.

What a great movie message. Those are some of my favorites- the one that remind you never to give up.

rivermis: No problem! I fully understand what you're trying to say about your dream. You're so right; actually I was going to write about the sad truth about homelessness and poverty in this country which contributes to despair in people's lives.

colbymarshall: thanks so much for stopping by and checking my blog out!!! I also checked your blog:) Yes, the movie really reminded me about making it through tough time and maybe in the end it pays off. I hope to see you here again and I will definitely check your blog again!!
