Carlos Bocanegra & World Cup...

{Image via GAWKER}

The US team lost against Ghana (Thanks Riff Dog!) Saturday after putting up a good fight. I was very disappointed that the team wasn't able to go to the next round, but I give full credit to all the players for their fair and great sportsmanship.

I stumbled upon this image of the former President Clinton and my favorite Carlos Bocanegra, the captain of US team. This photos must be taken when US won the game against Algeria last week during the loss time in the first round. I must say, president looks like a cute groupy who is so happy that he gets to take a picture with Carlos with Bud in hand. I would love to be in between those two man and snap a picture...

{This video features many of my favorite football players: Fabio Cannavaro, Rooney, Ronaldo}

This Adidas CM features Snoop, Harison Ford and Beckham!!!!! Classic and I enjoy watching these special commercial just made for World Cup.}

I'm pretty much glued to TV and watch World Cup all day long - it's been very lazy, but satisfying two weeks...

How about you? Did you have a nice weekend???

World Cup!!!!!

I can't explain how much I'm excited about World Cup 2010 - I waited for four long years. My youngest Soapy was only three month old when I watched my favorite team Italy winning the Cup four years ago with my sister who was visiting us.

It's not widely popular sports in the U.S., but I grew up watching football (soccer) since I was a little girl. I love the sports not because of gorgeous players (well, maybe a little bit), but the game itself. Many people here in the U.S., say that it's too slow compare to NFL, NBA, MBL and NHL, but I totally disagree. I think soccer is one of the most exciting sports in the whole wide world.

I love listening to the sound of horns throughout the game and I love to scream when the kicker strike the ball. I'm always mesmerised by their footwork and it's really fun game to watch. And don't forget about the gorgeous bodies - they work so hard for that!

Japan made it and I hope they play well. My sister is cheering for Spain which I'm thinking they'll win the Cup.

Kaka - Brazil

One thing I'm really disappointed about is David couldn't play his last World Cup due to the injury. He was in the bench watching his team playing against U.S.A. He looks so unhappy because England didn't win the game - tie game is like losing.
By the way, Annie Levobitz shot these photos of start players before the Cup for Vanity Fair which is on stand now.
So, are you watching World Cup????

The Price of Beauty

This is how I look (my body) minus the face.

I just finished watching Jessica Simpson's "The Price of Beauty" on Vh1. She travels around the world to see what is considered "beautiful" in different cultures. I'm not a big fan of Jessica Simpson, but I also feel horrible about the way she was treated by media about her weight a while back - and I think she's trying to prove the world that beautiy comes from the inside and not on the outside...

So what is beauty? What do you consider "beautiful"? Some people may call me crazy (including my husband), but I have struggled with my own body image for the longest time. I've always been thin and that has been part of my insecurities since I moved to the U.S. I hate my arms and my friends say I'm thin like a tooth pick - I hate it. I want to have a curvy body - but no matter how hard I work out, I will never get those curvy body :( If anything my body totally resembles of Posh Spice/VB's body. You know how people talk about her - how skinny she is or she must not eat any food or looks like anorexic... I agree, if you see her pic of years and years ago, she does look like she has some weight on her compare to now. If you look at my high school pictures, I have a bit more round face (meat on my cheek) - but the whole body frame hasn't changed a lot. My trainer at the gym is build like me - very slender and you wouldn't think she's a trainer. She's told me many many times before that I need to embrace my body frame because it won't change no matter what I did.. I do love certain parts of my body though, especailly my butt.

With that said, I love the bodies of these three actresses. They are not curvy like Scarlett Johansson or Penelope Cruz, but their bodies are beautiful! I go to gym and work out hoping to achieve healthy looking body like theirs..

Cameron Diaz

Jennifer Aniston

Kate Beckinsale

So, what defines "beauty" in your dictionary???

My Love for Soccer

This is one of my favorite photo of David - oh that smile...

Every country has their favorite sports that they grow up watching and playing with. In the U.S., people go crazy over football and bascketball and baseball. In Japan, we go goo goo gaga over soccer and baseball. I gew up watching and going to see so many soccer and baseball games and I must admit soccer is one of my favorite sports of all time. I remember standing in the cold winter day - cheering and screaming for Europe's two best teams playing at the National Stadium in Tokyo. Or I cheered for Japan for their first attempt to appear at the World Cup in 1994 only to lose at the qualification final game - us Japanese people call it "The Agony of Doha - Doha no higeki-" We were zombies the next day in despair..

Thankfully, Japan has been apearing the World Cup for the past three games as well as this year's World Cup in South Africa. I'm very very excited about this year's World Cup - except, I just found out that my idol David Beckham ruptured his Achilles tendon and he will miss his last World Cup appearance - I'm devastated.

I've been a huge fan of David long before he came to U.S. to play for LA Gallaxy or long before he became Posh Spice's husband. He was just a young and awesome soccer player. I'm a bit sad about his status nowadays he is more of a Hollywood star than a true soccer player, but I know in his heart, his true passion is to chase the ball....

I would have loved to see him play for the last time at the World Cup - he's still young, but not young enough to play at his national team in four years. There are plenty young breed waiting to play in the big stage. I'm really really disappointed and sad about this.

But I will cheer for Japan and JT's favorite team Italy.

I took this photo while watching the World Cup 4 years ago on TV at home - Beckham was about to come out to the field and I grabbed my camera and took this picture. The look on his face is something people don't get to see if you're not a soccer fan.

Aw that tattoo covered arms. So sexy.

People made fun of this ad and I could understand why. LOL.

He says he is a lucky man to have his wife - I say Posh Spice is damn lucky to have him as a husband.

So, are you a soccer fan???

I Don't Know What I Would Do Without You....

The Winter Olympics in Vancouver is over. I'm really really sad about this. I always hear that the tv ratings get lower and lower every Olympic, but I can't believe it's true. I believe this Winter Games is one of the best olympics I ever saw. I love both Summer and Winter Olympis, but this Olympics was exceptionally exciting (except a few days last week when I decided not to turn on TV) - I coudn't wait to sit on my couch and totally gazed into the sports. There was a tragedy the day of Opening Ceremony when they lost a luger, but I think the pain and the sadness of losing the fellow athlete transformed all of the asthletes to performed better.... I respect all of the Olympians because of the endurance and strength they have - sports are amazing....

By the way, Happy Birthday Soapy!!! Today (March 1st) is my little baby Soapy's birthday - she is now "4"!!! I planned a bowling party for her with only close family and friends on Sunday, but sadly, Soapy got really sick... She only watched us play while she laid on my lap. Then we headed to dinner, but again she slept through the whole dinner. So, we decided not to open her gifts and celebrate again at grandma's the next day because we really want her to be happy turning 4... I can't wait to see her face all lit up tomorrow night!!!

So, did you watch the Olympics???? Hope you had a nice weekend!

xoxo

The Worst Soccer Mom

No, I'm not talking about me. But I realize there are plenty of scary soccer moms out there.

Last Saturday was Ju Ju's last soccer game for the season (Fall). Believe it or not, I had enjoyed waking up in the early morning every Saturday, driving her to the game with her little sister Soapy and chatting up with other moms and kids. So, we're very excited and yet a little bit sad that it was her last game.

I don't know why, but when we got to the field, we only had only 4 players including Ju Ju on her team, the Eagle. The other team, the Tigers had all the kids had showed up. The coaches from both teams talked and they decided to allow Ju Ju's coach's step-daughter to play for the Eagle as a backup. The problem was the step-daughter was a two years older than the rest of the kids.

As soon as the whistle blew, one of moms from the Tiger started yelling, "why is she playing? She is bigger than the other kids. It's not fair! It's not fair!" And she was getting louder and louder. And she happened to be the wife of one of Tiger's coaches. While her husband ingored her ranting, she started complaining to the other coach for the Tiger. The coach said, "If we thought it would be a problem, I wouldn't have allowed her to play. It should be fine." She finally got quiet when the girl (coach's step daughter) scored a goal.

"................................"

That's when the Hell broke loose. The mom stood up, pointing finger and yelling, "It's not fair. That point shouldn't be counted. Why do we care about the other team not having enough kids. It's not our problem, it's their problem!!"

Now, I'm getting pissed off listening to her. Then she said, "I want to see how the other team would feel if they lost the game becaus we had an older player against them." Seriously, I was almost went up to her and said, "Are you really saying this? After all these months we're playing together, having good times, are you really saying that you don't give a shit about the other kids as long as your kid's team wins?" Because I can proudly say that Ju Ju's team won the game only once out of 9 games. But Ju Ju and her teammates kept on playing with a huge smile on their faces. We all know what it's like to lose because we never won the games except one time. But they don't care because they love playing soccer regardless. I mean, we always talk to our kids that the game is not about losing or winning, but having fun, but this woman completely do the opposite. Granted, our coach probably should have told the daughter not to score, but help the Eagles turning their ball, etc. But the woman didn't need to act the way she did.

Moreover, the husband of the mom - the coach. He wasn't even saying anything - he should be embarrased the way his wife was acting. When the first half ended, she dashed to the field ref and her husband to do something while the rest of the parents were looking at her thinking, "What the hell is your problem, woman?"

Ju Ju's coach finally said, "I'm sorry, we have no problem playing with four kids. I was only concerned about them not getting any break, but they will be fine. I didn't mean to cause any problem - sorry about that.." That's when I pleaded with tears in my eyes, "YES!! The Eagles are fine with four players. We only want to play and have fun. Come on, stop this. Let's have a good time, PLEASE!!!" I had enough with this woman who was ruining our last game by screaming and yelling in front of our kids and other parents. It was very sad and it really hurt my feeling to see that the coach had to apologize like that.

JT was just listening to all that was going on quietly, but finally opened his mouth to the ranting mom, "STOP CRYING LIKE A BABY!!!" Oh, how much I love my husband.

The head coach of the league finally showed up and talked to the coaches, and the mom. She was still ranting when he said, "Well, but we can't play with only 4 kids agaist each others and have the rest of the kids watching the game at the sideline. We need at least 5 players. That was the only solution at the time. Now, how do we solve this problem - and the answer is to have one player from the Tigers." That's when one of the dads said, "C will play for the Eagles.." Apparently he was talking to his daughter C who goes to the same school as Ju Ju while this ugliness was going down that maybe she could help the Eagles by playing for them. Before we knew it, C changed her uniform to the Eagle's color and ran to Ju Ju. The dad said, "C, make sure you run to the other goal, okay? Don't kick the ball to the Tigar!" and she smiled and the game resumed. I cried because it was such a sweet moment. C knew that the she's in the losing team (because you know, the Eagles is realy weak. LOL) and wouldn't win the last game, but she showed everyone that it's not about winning or losing, but having fun. And I thank her and the dad for showing what a true compassion and sportsmiship is all about.

When the game was over, The Eagles lost again to the Tigers 3-4. Ju Ju scored two goals. At the end of the game, the ref came up to me and JT and pointed to Ju JU and said, "The player of the game.." He smiled and winked at us and left the field.

JT and I are so proud of Ju Ju who never complained about losing or never taking a break. She really loves playing soccer. She can't wait to play for the next season coming January. And I am praying to God that I will never see that mom's face again, but I know she'll be there...

Have you seen any scary stage mom before???

My Little Star Player...

This is my daughter Ju Ju. She's been playing soccer since September and she got the first medal in her team for being a great team player. Her team "Eagles" has not won any game, but Ju Ju always tries her best. Actually, she's the only one who scores goal (well, actually two other girls have scored one goal each). The first time they played, their team lost the game against Tigers 1-6. The second time they played, Eagles lost against Tigers 2-6. Third game, they lost again to Tigers 2-5. Fourth game, they lost again to Tigers 3-6. Then last time, again they lost 4-6 of which Ju Ju scored all four goals and most of the goals in the past for her team.

She always gets disappointed that her team hasn't won the game and she tell me, "Mama, my team will never going to win.." - but then, I tell her, "Remember what did your coach say?" And she answers, "It's not about winning or losing, it's about having fun!!" with a HUGE smile on her face.

She honestly tells me playing soccer has been the best thing she's ever done in her life, and that she can't stop thinking about the next game after the game. Sometimes, she tries to picture herself playing well in her head when she goest to sleep. She really loves it.

I never imagined that I would wake up early on Saturday morning being a soccer mom, but I truly enjoy getting up and watch my daughter play with her friends. Her coach is a great person and I'm grateful that he's taught her something that's very important in her life: patience and endurance.

I love my daughter.... I'm proud of her...

Go Ju Ju! Go Eagles! Let's win this Saturday!

My Little Sunshine...

I just want to squeeze her...

Spring Is Here...

It was gorgeous day in Florida today... So I decided to go for a run with my girls pushing the stroller. I do it once a week when the weather is nice and run for 3 miles with my girls; from our house to a nearest shopping plaza and back.

Usually, my oldest Ju Ju rides her bicycle (and she has no training wheels now) and Soapy is in her stroller as I push and run, except Ju Ju's toe was hurt, she couldn't pedal today. So I had to push two girls in the stroller which was rough!!! I couldn't believe how easy it is when Ju Ju rides her own bicycle.

Anyway.

As we were running the street, we realized the sprinkler was going full force in front of us. Bunch of sprinklers were spraying water and the girls and I were laughing so hard as we ran through it... The girls were screaming for joy and oh, it was really cute.

They said, "Mommy, one more time!" - Of course I said no...

But, because it was soooo hot when we got to the plaza, I decided to take the girls to Rita's to have some Italian ice. We got two chocolate ice. Ju Ju and I shared a cup and Soapy? She finished the whole thing all by herself!!! She was soo proud and her mommy? Not so much because it was very sweet and all the sugar she ate made her mommy nervous. But we had a very nice time... This is when I feel the happiest.

Oh by the way, we were able to run through the sprinklers again on the way back. Yay! LOL

Aw spring time is here, at least here in Florida..

I hope spring is coming to your way very soon, too, and warm your heart...

Say,"Icceeeee!!!"
Mommy, this ice is so good...

I don't even know why I took this photo.
I guess I just wanted to show you how long (short) my legs are.. LOL

Christian, You Really Broke My Heart....

Christian Bale Pictures, Images and Photos

I love Christian Bale. I have been really excited about his new film "Terminator 4/Salvation" which I talked about it here .

But the other night, he broke my heart. Seriously, my heart is broken. I was watching TMZ with JT and we heard this tape which Christian Bale totally went nuts on this guy on the T4 set. Apparently, it happened in July last year when the photgraphy director walked in on the set for the "second time".

I know the actors and the crew spend hours, days, weeks and months shooting film. Their stress level must be extreme. I also know that Christian Bale was intensely into this role, John Connor. It is one of the most anticipated roles in the movie history (okay maybe I'm exaggrating?) And you know, I'm sure Christian Bale was having one of those days where....well, it's hard for me to back him up on this one, but he was having a very bad day!!! Very bad day... I was in total shock when I heard the tape. Speechless...

Please proceed with caution because he's very angry and ugly!!! I have to wash his mouth with soap!!!

****For his defense, the producer of T4 said CB's tantrum was no biggie.
"turns out Christian Bale's expletive-filled, volcanic explosion on the set of "Terminator Salvation" was a "non-event"... according to a guy who wasn't the brunt of Bale's tirade.

Bruce Franklin -- assistant director and associate producer on the film -- told us "Christian is a method actor and was completely immersed in his scene ... his reaction was from the heat of the moment."

The target of Bale's attack -- a director of photography named Shane Hurlbut -- was not fired from the movie, despite Christian's threat that if Shane screwed up one more time, he should be kicked to the curb.

Franklin said Bale was under a lot of pressure because of his crazy "Dark Knight" promotion schedule, and that the crew -- Hurlbut included -- ended up shooting for another seven hours. *****

So, knowing the producer defended him, I think I can sleep good tonight. I still love him. He is gorgeous. He just needs to take some chill pill. Don't hate him everyone, even it's kind of hard to like him now. If you want to see new trailer for this movie, click here. It's pretty awesome and I can't wait (although I would have loved to see Arnold in the movie.)

Also, I want to talk about another stupid man. Micheal Phelps.

Michael, are you f*in kidding me? Okay, you are young and all, and everybody goes through those time where wanting to have good time. I don't pretend to be a saint - I've made some stupid choices before as well. But Michael Phelps, you're an Olympian. Not just an Olympian, you won 8 gold medals last summer game. Many kids look up to you. I don't tell you not to have fun. You have all the right to have good time because we all deserve it. But don't smoke bong in front of other party goers when you know someone's clicking you away!! I hope you didn't think that he/she wasn't going to sell you on tabloids, did you? If you talk about being a good role model, then you needed to be more careful. I hope your endorsement won't disappear..

So, everyone, what did you think of the two men??

Remembering Pat Tilman at Superbowl - and my Sunday music choice-

pat and kevin tilman Pictures, Images and Photos

I love NY Giants, but this year's Superbowl is the showdown between Steelers and Cardinals.

Pat Tillman Pictures, Images and Photos

When I see Cardinals play, I think of Pat Tilman. He played the safety for Cardinals, then September 11 attacks happened. In 2002, he turned down the multi-million dollars contract and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He left the luxry of being a NFL football player to follow what he thought what's the right and best thing to do - to fight for his country. He died in April 2004 by friendly fire in combat in Afghanistan.

He's a very courageous person. Not many people are willing to throw away their comfortable lives and put themselves in danger - how many of us are willing to take that risk to actually act on your virtue?

He is a true hero who dedicated his life for his country, our counrty and us...

So I am going for Cardinals tonight. I hope Cardinals play for Tilman and try the best they can to honor his life..

Oh! And I had another reason for going for Cardinals. Kurt Warner - he is HOT!

Today's Sunday Music Choice - "I Hate This Part" by Pussy Cat Dolls

I am digging and loving this song!! Do you think they changed the producer?? They are coming up with bunch of good songs lately.... What do you think? Do you like it?

I can't wait to see and post all the funny Superbowl commercial later!!!

Thanks for the exciting 14days!!!

Well, it's over again. I love Olympics and I always enjoy watching both Summer and Winter Games. Bejing Olympics had so many people talking, I thought maybe it's going to fail, but I think it's fair to say now that it was the most successful game in Olympic history. I'm sad it's all over (my husband loves the game, but very happy that it's over:)

I truly admire all the athletes' determination whether winning medals or even just to make it to the team. Their countless hours of training and becoming the Olympian is unbelieveable commitment; the endurance, the determination are beyond my imagination. There were times I had always dreamt of becoming an Olympian when I was a teenager. I was a short track runner for 100m and 4x100m relay in junior high school. I was of course, not even close to be an Olympian, but looking at those Olympic athletes compete always bring back old memories of my youth that was so pure and full of hope.

You learn so many stories about athletes during the Game. Most of the times, I end up crying because they're so touching. I would hope that London 2012 (gosh, I'm going to be 38...) will be an extaordinary event as Beijin Olympic!!!
