It's no secret that I'm 36 years old. I've always believed that regardless of my age, I'm very young at heart and truthfully, I feel like I'm getting younger more every day. But I also know that believing and actually aging is two different things.
The other night when I was getting ready to go out, I noticed gray hair - and it wasn't just one string of hair, there were four - five of them in a one area. You might think it's only 5 grey hair, but to me, it was SHOCKING!!! My hair is dark, so they look more obvious. You don't understand how much I freaked out: My heart started beating strong and the cold sweats running through my back. I was combing through my hair like a mama monkey looking for fleas in a baby monkey's hair. And I found more grey hair! OH NOOOOOOOOOO!! I almost wanted to die! It's over, I'm officially old..
Now I'm going to be the one who color grey roots at the tender age of 36. So sad girls, so sad...
Seriously, I even googled how to prevent gray hair and there's no such things - it's just human nature. It's one of those events that I can't deny that I'm no longer in my 20's.
How would you react if you find gray hair - wouldn't you be shocked too???
Have a Cozy Weekend.

I've had grey since 10 years so I know it has nothing to do with age. You are younfg and you look young, so don't worry about it.
On the other hand, make sure you don't pull them out...that's abig no-no.
Here's to growing old greysfully?
I want to tell you not to worry about it, but I have really dark hair too and you just entered a whole new ballgame. I have to go to the salon every three weeks religiously and it sucks!!! I've been super busy lately and had to use a box just last week. Not cool. The good news is you are so fab in so many other ways that no one will notice for a little while :)
Count your lucky stars girlfriend! I'm 32 and about 60% grey - also dark brunette. I discovered my first at 15 and it's been a steady slide into early onset age ever since (although I don't act around 15 of my 32 years).
maki you soooo don't look 36! don't worry, i've found grey hairs and i'm not even 30 (i've got a few months left!)
you are fabulous!!!!
I am a natural blonde, but I colour my hair red, so I am hoping I can selfishly pretend I will NEVER find one. I am with you here sista!
I am forty five and have a few gray hair. My sister is a little younger and she has a lot. I guess I lucked out.
Age? Who cares? We'll always be young at heart and that's the most important thing. Besides, with age comes wisdom amd maturity.
You should read Going Gray, What I Learned about Beauty, Sex, Work, Motherhood, Authenticity, and Everything Else That Matters:
It's a really good read and I loved it!
If I started going grey, I would probably just leave it or have grey highlights pulled through to supplement.
I have wondered if I do have any gray hair, but being blonde helps hide it well. I could ask the girl that does my hair but honestly I just don't want to know.
I just dye my hair blonde so that the grays are less noticeable!
You're lucky that it took that long to have any.
Stopping in from SITS.
I actually just noticed a whole new crop of them right around the front of my face. Eeek!
I've been lucky with somewhat blondish hair that camoflaged the grey but I can see that a trip to the hairdresser for some highlights is in order!

Oh I've had gray hair for a while now. It's not premature gray but still gray around the crown of the head. Yeah, I panicked at first but now I accept it. And dye it :) you look lovely! Dont' feel old.
Girlies: Thank you so much for your lovely and kind comments - I feel a lot better that I'm not the only one who's suffering from this gray hair trauma! LOL.. I guess I'll keep dying it!
