I found the same image as my magnet on my refrigerator - JT bought it for me a long time ago. I thought it describe who I am when it comes to cleaning. I'm not dirty, but sometimes I am too lazy to clean the mess around the house.
I know that the real key to a clean house is to toss anything and everything that's old or not being used. I've been pretty good about it, but I have to admit, I tend to save stuff from Ju Ju's school projects to all of the cards I get for the holidays and birthdays.
But today, something snapped and I started cleaning the whole house - I threw away all kinds of stuff. It felt really good and refreshing. I'm trying to continue the mission tomorrow and throw way and clean the girls' room. They have SOOO many toys or the little things (
I don't even know what) that need to be consolidated - although I secretly want to throw all of them away (
bad mommy, bad mommy!) - Am I horrible to even think that???
So tell me - are you a tosser? What's your secret to keep your house organized and neat???

once a month we had a
"I love " event...the children would go through the toys and pick out toys to give away... to love another :)
toys can multiply!!!
Yes, ma'am. I am a tosser through and through. I'm more of a maintenance person, to be completely honest. I will get the hankering to start purging but for the most part I am able to get in one really good day of cleaning and then maintain it with regular sifting through potential pile ups. The husband keeps me on my toes because he's the opposite. More of a, "I'm going to keep this piece of lint...just in case..."
omg. i'm so NOT a tosser. i'm a total pack rat. i'm always thinking "what if i need this later?" and sometimes i'll toss only to realize i really did need that tossed item later! grrr. but it's better to purge. too much clutter is never a good thing...i really need to listen to myself. hahaha.
Can you snap a little more and clean mine?
That photo under "KINDNESS"... LOVE THAT!

I am definitely not a tosser. I like to keep a lot of things, in case I need them for future, unforseen situations. My husband is the opposite since he's a neat-freak and always tries to toss everything he deemed not necessary anymore. I sometimes end up looking for my things and find it in the garbage. Aargh!
I am a total 'keeper' although now I'm trying my hardest to TOSS!! We're in the middle of moving (again) and it is just so much easier to just toss and start fresh!
Good luck!
Get me in a bad enough mood and everything goes. Years ago I asked the girls to clean up their toys and it just wasn't getting done, no one listened...the whole box went in the garbage.
Generally, we move a lot so we have little junk, but I am a keeper when it comes to trinkets from my kids.
I am a tosser to the extreme!! If no one has used something withing the last couple of months. gone. Worn something this season? gone. ate it withing a couple days? gone. I can not relax admist clutter. Dusting? that's a whole other story entirely... ;)
I am a big time tosser and so is my daughter. My husband and my son on the other hand want to keep EVERYTHING. The key for me is to 1) keep JUNK from entering the house altogether (birthday goodie bags go directly to charity, Happy Meal toys in the trash before we leave, etc) and 2) clean when no one's looking :) I do need some sort of system though for all those damn projects. I feel terrible throwing them away but gawd there's a lot of them!
We keep a pretty small place, so keeping extra stuff around is impossible. Once or twice a year we put together donations for Goodwill. It makes us feel good and we get to declutter.
Most mornings i feel like your magnet.

I am both. I collect things for a little while, but then I get sick of the mess and get rid of them. Brian is much neater than I am, but he is so sweet - he never asks me to get rid of my junk, but I end up getting sick of it myself, hehehe.
I used to be a pack rat, but since moving I've become a tosser. Have you seen the show Hoarders on A&E?

It's a Hooah life
I am a tosser. I keep nothing that I don't use. 3 times a year I go through the house and get rid of junk. What a feeling...:-) Now if Hubby would convert.
Oh I'm definitely a hoarder not a tosser. Although I've become a bit less precious about my stuff after losing loads of it when moving country.
The way I get my boy to tidy when he's slack is to threaten him with tossing any toy that's out of place. Sometimes I do feel like just chucking it all out. We are literally overrun by toys. Cool blog and your family is gorgeous!
