JT came home early today.
He got laid off - right before Christmas. Is this fair???
JT and I have been through a lot and pretty much there is nothing we can't handle together.
But, losing a good job is very tough, especially in the time like this..
JT is pretty optimistic and he's trying to calm me down and cheer me up, but I think I should be the one doing the job.
Truthfully, I don't know what to do... It's not his fault, but I just want to find a huge sandbag and totally go crazy on it.
Please God, tell me what a F's going on???

Oh Maki I am soooooo sorry; this is awful especially right before Christmas; they couldn't have waited a few days? Times are very tough right now for a lot of people including me as I type this; we just have to trust it will get better...it has to! I am learning to not fret over things I can't control; I'm still learning.

Hey Maki, it'll be tough but you'll make it alright :) The timing is lousy & it sucks! Lots of people are also getting laid off in Aus too, so it's not just in the US... it'll be over soon. Then it will be just another story to tell...
I'm so sorry, Maki. That seems to be going on everywhere. Some people in my job got laid off, too and I felt so bad for them. I wish you and your husband all the best. You'll be in my prayers...

I got excited when I saw the title with the words, "I Showed My Cheek." But this totally sucks. Who the fuck does a layoff a week before Christmas?!? Damn, that sucks.
I'm sorry for, Maki. Hopefully this will somehow work out into something good.

big huge sigh. I'm so sorry. I understand ...it has hit us too. It must be a bit scarier with babies to feed. Things will get better. You always have a positive outlook and great attitude and you will get through it.
Argh, I'm sorry this happened. I know many this has happened to and you're right. It's very much not fair at any time of the year and especially right before the holidays. I wish you and your fam the best during these times. I hope it gets better stat!
Oh no! What an awful time of year for this to happen. It's never easy, but during the holidays, it must be especially hard. I'll keep you guys in my prayers. I'm glad your husband is feeling confident. Follow his gut feelings and don't let this get you down....keep us posted!

Oh huni, I'm so sorry! I have heard that so many of my friends or their spouses have been laid off this month! I think it's the worst thing a company can do to their employees! I'm praying for you that good news will come soon!!
