Can I Call This As My Talent??

I am no Picasso, but I love to draw and paint since I was a little girl. I don't know if you can call this as a talent, but it is something that I truly enjoy spending my time of doing. It helps me to relax and makes me feel good inside.

I have been paiting stuff on canvases and giving them to my family members and friends as their birthday or Christmas gifts for the past several years. JT's youngest brother has two of my paitings and he is kind enough to put them up in his house.

I painted this leaf and it's in our bedroom on the wall. I used my blackberry camera, so the color looks horrible. I don't meant to defend myself, but the actual paintings that I post here today are so much better in color and looks itself. The background of this painting is dark navy and I used white to paing the leaf with gray streaking. My neighbor friend Ms. L fell in love when she saw it while I was painting, so I painted another one for her. This is actually JT's favorite.

Then, I'm working on this one right now. "Vive Bene" means "Good Life" in Italian. The color is dark wine as a background with Sage colored lettering with another white detailing which you can't see it in the picture. I can't wait to finish paiting this.

A few months ago, I went to my friend K's babyshower. She actually just had the baby last week. I painted the baby's name and give it to her and her husband as a shower gift. When she opened it, all the people who were there were so suprised that I actually painted myself. one of the guests asked me if I had a busuiness card that she could have, but I told her I'm doing it as a hobby.

Now, "K" asked me to paint for her oldest daughter. She even paid me to do it. This (Gracie Ann) is the painting that I am doing right now - I need to touch up some more and I'm done. Actually, this is my first paiting that I actually sold to someone. I must admit it is a great feeling!

This is another painting that I did for my BFF's daughter as one of her Christmas gifts. They both loved it...

So, there you have it. This is my talent (?) that I secretly enjoy to fulfill in my life. It will be awesome if I could paint for more people.

***This is a prompt that I picked for my assignment from Kathy's Thursday Writer's Workshop. Thanks always, Kat, for coming up with great prompts!

These are beautiful. You need to stop putting a (?) after the word talent. Anyone who creates something this lovely DEFINITELY has talent, no question about it!

Hehehe at your comment on my blog. Yes, he works there. He designs spacecraft - what can I say? I like my men smart, hehehe. We just got married 4 months ago and I am loving it. Here's a link to a post with some of our wedding pics: http://notesfromdionne.blogspot.com/2009/01/its-time.html
