Have A Lovely Weekend!!!! {and Welcome to My Bedroom}

I have never showed my bedroom before. We've lost many stuff due to the water damage that happened three months ago. But I'm finally getting my condo back to the way it was. It's taken me forever, but I think it's starting to look nice again....

So, this is my bedroom. I like my bed to be always white and I still need to buy a quilt, but oh well, it can wait a bit while.. JT and I love the King size bed, so when we lived in Hawaii and in NJ, we bought two king beds. When we moved back to FL, we decided that we use a Queen until we buy a big house. JT is in NJ working for the most of this year and next year, so it's the perfect size for me right now... Moreover, being able to sleep in your own bed is simply priceless!!!

My side table still needs some work, but I can't sleep without my favorite hearts including the three heart shaped ring holders.... The lamp is from Crate & Barrel and it's my favorite thing in my house...

This is the painting I'm currently working on. My best friend J asked me to paint something for her new place. She loves New Yor, so I decided to paint NY skyline. I can't wait to finish this painting and give it to her. I hope she likes it...
As I slowly re-decorate my condo, I will post pictures of my living/dining room and kitchen as well as my girls room.
Have a lovely weekend everybody!!!!

Finally, Finally!!!!!! {One Step Closer to My Sweet Home}

I got a great news today that the insurance adjuster finally approved the estimates provided by us, and that they will start the restoration process after the Memorial weekend!!!! Hooooray!!!

Do you know how long I've been staying at my mother-in-law's house - over a month! Oh boy....

I've been doing the window shopping for our living/dining room since most of our furnitures were damaged since the day 1 we got displaced. Now, everything will be covered by insurance and I can't wait to have everything back the way it used to be....

One of the things that I'm sad about is that I lost many things that I call my own; even just a pillow or pillows that you held tight watching TV...

The sectional couch above is simlar to the one I had in my living room. Now, I'm not buying that couch from Pottery Barn, however, I have been eyeballing some pillows from the store - and they are sooo pretty. And they look even prettier when you see them at the store...

You know I love beach and everything that reminds of it. So, I'll be a happy girl if I could get these.....

This is pretty with white pillows..

The red looks sooo charming..

White goes with everything...

Believe it or not, these pillows are my favorite - perfect for summer..

So, what do you think, do you like the design???

Mission Makeover : Inspiration for Girls Room

For the past several months, I've been wanting to repaint and redesign my daughters' room. They've had the purple wall for the past two years and I've used yellow before too.
Right now I'm in love with pink wall with me doing some murial just like the one picture above. I think it would look adorable to have a room like that.

My oldest daughter loves the idea of having canopy over her bed and she's been flipping through catalogs and magazines for her favorite looks.

I love this room for the simplicity in colors - really adorable...

The colors of pink and drape surrounding the bed kind of reminds me of my room when I was little.

The poka dot - cute isn't it?

I think this would be a wonderful idea if you have more than three girls..

I think I love this for my room. LOL.

I don't have a son, but the stripe wall is something I've thought about doing.

My girls need a cute book shelf like this one - they really do!

The sunlight makes the room so much brighter and prettier...

I love this rug...

*This is a scene from one of my favorite movies "The Holiday" - I really wanted to re-create the room for my daughters when I saw this (fast foward to 5:57). So adorable and dreamy!

So what's your favorite room???

Candle

I love candles. I get excited if I see them on the tables or the counter at restaurants and bars. I love different kind of candles, big and small, scented and unscented. My FAVORITE candle maker was Illuminations which was bought by Yankee Candle (which I'm not so fond of their jar design, but scents are good) and has gone out of business recently. I'm very sad about it because I used to go to Illuminations store in Hawaii and decorated my house with my favorite candles... One of my favorite was Napa Vally Harvest and the candle surely smelled beautiful...

Right now, my house is filled with tea lights and votive lights as well as some Illumination candles that I scored at Marshalls last year during the holiday shopping. My house smells really nice at night. I am a candle girl - I really am... It makes me feel so calm and romantic.

So, are you a candle girl???

p.s. my throat is so itchy, I can't stop caughing. I hate being sick!
